Introduction
Wegovy and Ozempic both contain semaglutide, and the June 2026 Wegovy label and the May 2026 Ozempic label list different indications. Compounded semaglutide is a third product: FDA's page, content current as of 1 October 2026, says compounded drugs are not FDA approved and are not reviewed for safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing.
Telehealth Ledger has no verified best online semaglutide provider. The catalog lists commission-earning providers that publish a medication-included price, ordered by the continuing price or, when that is the published figure, the prepaid effective monthly rate.
Separate the products before comparing a price
An online semaglutide search mixes at least three products. Wegovy is Novo Nordisk's semaglutide brand with the June 2026 indications below. Ozempic is Novo Nordisk's other semaglutide brand, and its May 2026 indications are diabetes uses. A compounded preparation uses the ingredient name and is the product FDA describes as not FDA approved.
The catalog under this section keeps those products in separate groups. A price in one group does not describe the other products.

What the June 2026 Wegovy label covers
Wegovy injection is indicated in combination with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity for three uses: reducing major adverse cardiovascular events in adults with established cardiovascular disease and obesity or overweight; reducing excess body weight and maintaining that reduction long term in adults and pediatric patients aged 12 years and older with obesity, and in adults with overweight plus at least one weight-related comorbid condition; and treating noncirrhotic metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis, formerly called NASH, with moderate to advanced liver fibrosis in adults. The MASH indication is approved under accelerated approval.
Wegovy tablets carry the adult cardiovascular indication and the adult weight-reduction indication. The label's limitation of use says concomitant use of Wegovy tablets or Wegovy injection with other semaglutide-containing products, or with any other GLP-1 receptor agonist, is not recommended. Those sentences identify the product. They do not say who should receive it.
What the May 2026 Ozempic label covers
Ozempic is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is also indicated to reduce major adverse cardiovascular events in adults with type 2 diabetes and established cardiovascular disease, and to reduce the risk of sustained eGFR decline, end-stage kidney disease, and cardiovascular death in adults with type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease.
The indications section checked on 15 October 2026 stops at those three uses. A comparison that places an Ozempic price beside a Wegovy weight-management price is comparing two labeled products that share an ingredient.
Compounded semaglutide stays in its own comparison
FDA's page, content current as of 1 October 2026, says compounded drugs are not FDA approved and that the agency does not review them for safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing. It also says compounded drugs should be used only in patients whose medical needs cannot be met by an FDA-approved drug. The page lists warning signs that include a claim the compounded drug is the same as an FDA-approved drug, supply without a licensed doctor's screening and prescription, and no licensed doctor available to answer questions after the medicine arrives.
FDA's 1 April 2026 compounding update says a section 503A product is compounded for an identified patient on a prescription, and that regular compounding of a product that is essentially a copy of a commercially available drug falls outside that setup unless the prescriber documents a change that produces a significant difference for that patient. This guide does not decide whether any listed offer meets those conditions. The pharmacy, the prescription, and the current FDA page are the records for that question.
A compounded semaglutide price and a Wegovy price answer different product questions. The catalog keeps them in separate groups.
Which plan terms the catalog can compare
Telehealth Ledger stores an introductory price, a continuing monthly price, an upfront charge, a prepaid effective monthly price, the commitment length, and medication inclusion as separate fields. Ranked rows use the continuing price when the offer publishes one. A prepaid plan uses its effective monthly rate, and the basis line states the amount paid up front. An introductory month does not become the ranking figure.
A row appears when the provider's visit link can earn a commission and the offer publishes a medication-included price, a check date, and a source. A plain brand URL does not qualify. The resulting list is the tracked set, and the methodology page says the directory is not a census of every US telehealth company.
- Which product name is on the offer: Wegovy injection, Wegovy tablets, Ozempic, or a compounded semaglutide preparation?
- Does the published price include the medication?
- Is the figure a continuing monthly price, a prepaid effective rate, or an introductory month?
- Which required fee, if the page states one, sits outside that figure?
- What do the provider's current written terms say about cancellation, a decision not to prescribe, and the states served?
What this guide leaves unanswered
The checked labels and the FDA pages do not record a reader's insurance benefit, a clinician's prescribing decision, or whether a particular program ships to a particular state. Those answers sit with the insurer, the prescribing clinician, and the provider's current terms. This guide does not fill them in.
Help with insurance paperwork, where a provider describes it, is a description of a service. It is a separate question from the insurer's coverage decision for the exact product. No provider on this page is ranked by clinical quality, predicted weight change, or a first-month advertisement.
Common questions
- How should an online semaglutide plan be compared?
- Name the product first, using the June 2026 Wegovy label, the May 2026 Ozempic label, or the compounding record. Then compare a medication-included continuing price, or a prepaid effective rate when that is the published price, among commission-earning providers.
- Do Wegovy and Ozempic have the same labeled uses?
- The June 2026 Wegovy label and the May 2026 Ozempic label list different indications. Both products contain semaglutide. Wegovy's checked indications include adult weight reduction. Ozempic's checked indications are glycemic control, cardiovascular-risk reduction, and kidney-risk reduction in type 2 diabetes.
- Does a telehealth membership include semaglutide medication?
- It includes the medication when the published offer says so. The catalog ranks offers that include medication. A price that leaves the medication out stays in the separate group when the provider publishes one.
- Does insurance assistance mean the medication is covered?
- A provider's description of paperwork is a service description. Coverage is the insurer's decision for the exact product and plan. This guide does not record a reader's benefit.
- Is compounded semaglutide FDA-approved?
- FDA's page, content current as of 1 October 2026, says compounded drugs are not FDA approved and are not reviewed for safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing.
- Why is the first month left out of the ranking?
- Telehealth Ledger stores the introductory price separately. The ranking figure is the continuing price when the offer publishes one, then a prepaid effective monthly price, then a one-time upfront price.
- Which online semaglutide provider is best?
- Telehealth Ledger has no verified best provider. The catalog orders published commercial terms for commission-earning providers. A licensed clinician decides whether a product is appropriate.
Match the labeled product, then the continuing price
Wegovy, Ozempic, and compounded semaglutide answer different label and regulatory questions. Compare a medication-included continuing price, or the prepaid effective rate when that is the published figure, and keep the check date with the row. The catalog is the commission-earning set with a published price.

The 1 April 2026 update says a section 503A compounded drug is compounded for an identified patient on receipt of a prescription, and that a compounder does not regularly compound products that are essentially copies of a commercially available drug. FDA intends to treat same-ingredient, similar-strength, same-route copies as essentially copies unless the prescriber documents a change that produces a significant difference for that patient.
