Introduction
NovoCare Pharmacy is Novo Nordisk's own self-pay channel for Wegovy, and its published price is $349 per month for every pen dose from 0.25 mg to 2.4 mg, $399 for Wegovy HD, and $199 for the first two fills of the two lowest doses for new patients through December 31, 2026. A telehealth company prescribing Wegovy supplies the same Novo Nordisk product and adds a membership or program fee.
Comparing the two means adding that fee to the NovoCare price and checking whether the program sends the prescription to NovoCare at all.
NovoCare vs telehealth Wegovy price: the two channels side by side
Wegovy is one product with one manufacturer. NovoCare Pharmacy sells it to self-pay patients at prices Novo Nordisk publishes. A telehealth program either sends its prescription to NovoCare, in which case the patient pays NovoCare's price plus the program's fee, or fills it through another pharmacy at whatever that pharmacy charges. The table puts the two side by side using NovoCare's page and the wording programs use about their own fees; the catalog module below fills in the current telehealth numbers.
| Question | NovoCare Pharmacy | Telehealth program |
|---|---|---|
| Who sets the drug price | Novo Nordisk: $349 per month for 0.25 mg to 2.4 mg pens, $399 for Wegovy HD 7.2 mg | Novo Nordisk if the prescription goes to NovoCare; otherwise the dispensing pharmacy |
| Introductory price | $199 per month for two fills of 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg for patients new to the offer, through December 31, 2026 | The same offer applies if the fill is at NovoCare; the program may add its own first-month discount on the fee |
| What else you pay | Nothing for delivery; prescription from your own provider | A membership or program fee; Ro and Sesame Care both state medication is not included in it |
| Who prescribes | Any licensed prescriber sends the prescription to NovoCare Pharmacy | The program's clinician, who can send the prescription to NovoCare |
| Pill pricing | $149 for 1.5 mg, $199 for 4 mg, $299 for 9 mg and 25 mg per month | Same if filled at NovoCare, plus the program fee |

What NovoCare Pharmacy charges for Wegovy in 2026
NovoCare's pharmacy page lists the current self-pay prices. Patients new to the Wegovy Savings Offer and NovoCare Pharmacy pay $199 for each month of 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg for two monthly fills through December 31, 2026. After the introductory fills, the price is $349 per month for Wegovy 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1 mg, 1.7 mg, or 2.4 mg, and $399 per month for Wegovy HD 7.2 mg. The Wegovy pill is $149 for each month of 1.5 mg, $199 per month for 4 mg, and $299 per month for 9 mg and 25 mg.
The page also states the mechanics. Patients have their prescriber send the prescription to NovoCare Pharmacy; CoAssist Pharmacy is a dispensing pharmacy for NovoCare Pharmacy; delivery to the home is free; and a prescription can be transferred to a local pharmacy for pickup. The Wegovy page adds that the patient's own provider can submit an electronic prescription using NovoCare Pharmacy's NPI, fax, or address. There is no membership, and no telehealth company is required.
Why a telehealth Wegovy price is the NovoCare price plus a fee
A telehealth program cannot sell Wegovy for less than Novo Nordisk charges, because the program is not the seller of the drug. What it sells is the prescriber. Ro's pricing page states that the cost of medication is not included in the Ro Body membership fee. Sesame Care's Wegovy page states that the monthly fee does not include the cost of medication and tells members to ask their Sesame provider to send the prescription to the NovoCare pharmacy for the reduced cash price. In both cases the patient pays the program for the clinician and pays NovoCare for the pens.
Some programs quote a combined monthly figure that bundles the drug and the fee, which can look like a discount or a markup depending on how it is presented. The catalog module on this page lists each program's Wegovy price with its basis and inclusion rule, so the fee above NovoCare's $349 is visible rather than implied. Programs that route to NovoCare and charge a modest fee are the closest a telehealth patient gets to the manufacturer price.
When Wegovy costs less than $349, and why the telehealth company is not the reason
Three routes beat NovoCare's self-pay price, and none of them belongs to a telehealth company. First, commercial insurance: NovoCare's page says patients with commercial coverage may pay as little as $25 per month for up to three months under the savings offer, subject to its terms. Second, Medicare: the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge gives eligible Part D beneficiaries a $50 copay for all Wegovy formulations from July 1, 2026 through December 31, 2027, prescribed for weight management. Third, employer or plan coverage that includes Wegovy at a formulary copay.
A telehealth program can help you use those routes by prescribing and submitting the prior authorization, and that service may be worth its fee. But the lower price comes from the insurer, the manufacturer's offer, or Medicare, and a local clinician's prescription qualifies for each of them equally. The insurance and coverage guide on this site walks through the eligibility rules for each.
Wegovy pill vs pen pricing at NovoCare
The pen and the pill are priced on different logic. Every pen dose from 0.25 mg to 2.4 mg costs $349 at NovoCare, so the price does not change as the label escalates the dose over the first months. The pill climbs with dose: $149 at 1.5 mg, $199 at 4 mg, $299 at 9 mg and 25 mg. The Wegovy label starts tablets at 1.5 mg daily for 30 days and escalates monthly to a 25 mg maintenance dose, so a pill patient's price rises twice in the first three months and then holds at $299, while a pen patient's price holds at $349 after the introductory fills.
That makes the pill cheaper than the pen at every dose, but the gap narrows from $200 at the start to $50 at maintenance. A telehealth program prescribing either form inherits the same ladder if it routes to NovoCare. The comparison of the Wegovy pill and the Wegovy injection on this site covers the label differences that sit behind the price difference.
How to get a telehealth prescription filled at NovoCare
The process is the same whether the prescriber is a telehealth clinician or a local one.
- Ask the telehealth program, before paying, whether its clinician will send the Wegovy prescription to NovoCare Pharmacy rather than a partner pharmacy.
- Have the prescriber submit the electronic prescription to NovoCare Pharmacy; the Wegovy page lists the NPI, fax, and address.
- Confirm whether you qualify for the $199 introductory fills as a patient new to the Wegovy Savings Offer and NovoCare Pharmacy.
- Choose free home delivery or transfer to a local pharmacy for pickup.
- Compare the program's fee against the value of its follow-up care; the drug price is the same either way.
Common questions
- Is Wegovy cheaper through a telehealth company than through NovoCare?
- Not for the drug itself. NovoCare's self-pay price is set by Novo Nordisk. A telehealth program adds a membership or program fee, and if it routes the prescription to NovoCare the drug costs the same.
- How much is Wegovy at NovoCare in 2026?
- $349 per month for every pen dose from 0.25 mg to 2.4 mg, $399 for Wegovy HD 7.2 mg, and $149, $199, or $299 per month for the pill by dose. New patients pay $199 for two fills of 0.25 or 0.5 mg through December 31, 2026.
- Can my telehealth prescription be sent to NovoCare?
- Yes. NovoCare accepts an electronic prescription from your provider, and Sesame Care, for example, tells members to ask their provider to send it there. Confirm the program is willing before paying a membership.
- Does NovoCare charge for delivery?
- No. NovoCare's page describes free home delivery, and a prescription can be transferred to a local pharmacy for pickup instead.
- What makes Wegovy cheaper than $349?
- Commercial insurance with the savings offer, which NovoCare says can bring the cost to as little as $25 per month for up to three months, or the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge at a $50 copay for eligible Part D beneficiaries through December 31, 2027.
The drug costs what Novo charges; the telehealth fee is the variable
NovoCare's $349 pen price and $149 to $299 pill prices are the floor for self-pay Wegovy, and a telehealth program's Wegovy price is that floor plus its fee unless insurance or Medicare changes the math. Choose a program for the care it provides and its willingness to send the prescription to NovoCare, not for a drug price it does not control.
