How to compare a GLP-1 program

Start with the price in month four. Almost every company on this site advertises something other than its continuing rate. Some show a first month. Some show what a year of prepayment averages out to. Found Health's cash plan opens at $179 and settles at $289.

Then check what the price covers. Brand-name programs split into two kinds. Sesame Care lists Wegovy at the $349 cash price of the drug and bills its care subscription separately. GobyMeds quotes $1,695 with the drug and the care together. Putting those two numbers side by side without reading the terms will send you to the wrong company.

Dose matters more than most comparison pages admit. GLP-1 treatment starts low and titrates up over months. A company can advertise a cheap starting dose and charge more at every step. Ask what happens to your bill when the dose increases, and ask before you pay for a plan that runs longer than a month.

Compounded and brand-name are different products. A pharmacy mixes compounded semaglutide to a prescriber's order, and the FDA has not approved it as a drug product. Wegovy and Ozempic are approved and made by Novo Nordisk. The price gap between them runs to more than ten times on this site.

Last, check the state list. Sprout Health does not prescribe GLP-1 in five states. Found Health does not prescribe in California. A cheap program you cannot legally use is not a cheap program.
